Our In-School Mentoring Program is most appealing to people
who want to spend quality time with a child, but who feel they may not
have the time or resources to volunteer for one of our more traditional
programs.
This program takes place at a child's school during the
school year. The time spent at the school as an in-school mentor is
only one hour, once a week. It can always be the
same
day and time or it can vary week to week. The mentor spends the time doing a fun activity or just talking with a child who could use a friend. Mentors are good listeners, people who care, people who
want to help young people bring out their
strengths.
